This one is really packed with insights, including:

  • Hear about the experience of making the leap from US to China when the golf market was just emerging.

  • As a PGA Professional, how do you make the leap from coaching golf lessons on the range to a career like Ray’s?

  • We hear various views in the Western golf media about what China is doing in golf, but where does China really sit in world golf just now?

  • From managing Haotong Li, developing the China Tour and now seeing young male and female Chinese players emerging over recent years – are people’s expectations of China fair?

  • Ray shares his view on the development of golf in more established golf countries, looking back through the lens of having worked to develop the game for many years in Asia.

  • Golf “development” – viewed by many as a ‘philanthropic’ thing to do but why can’t it be truly seen as commercial opportunity? How you can create a business model for a mass participation golf programme that is affordable, but financially sustainable and scalable.

  • How valuable might an MBA be for a career in the golf industry?
